The Dean Colleges Development Council, University of Kashmir Prof G.M. Sangami visited our college along with his team of fifteen members on 18th of November, 2021, and were warmly received by the Principal and the Staff. The Agenda of the inspection was to provide affiliation to the newly introduced subjects like Bioresources, Clinical Biochemistry, Anthropology and Kashmiri Literature by the Higher Education Department. The DCDC was gracious enough to provide us on spot intake strength in different subjects like 60 students for Kashmiri 40 for Anthropology and 30 each for Bioresources and Clinical biochemistry. Dean Colleges Development and the Worthy Principal of the College Prof Nighat Fatima, along with Convener Advisory, Academics, Librarian and Heads of the concerned Departments discussed threadbare the Pros and Cons of establishing these subjects such as Establishments of separate laboratories and augmentation of necessary equipments books and periodicals for the said subjects. The visiting team was satisfied with the basic infrastructure to start these courses.
During interaction of the inspection team with the College Advisory in the Principal Chamber the DCDC provided a green signal to start these courses from the next academic year (Bioresources and Clinical Biochemistry), it is in place to mention that college has already started the Anthropology and Kashmiri Literature in 2021 as desired by the Dean colleges Development through his verbal communication with our worthy principal. At the end Prof Nighat Fatima Principal of the host College thanked the Guests for their visit.
