Today on 4-12-2021 the Final match of CHINAR Inter-College Volleyball Tournament 2021 was played between Host College Bijbehara & Govt. Degree College Kulgam. Worthy Principal of the Institution interacted with both the teams. Both the officials along with both the captains put the toss in presence of the Principal and senior staff members. Host College Bijbehara won the toss and chose the court in the first set of the match won by GDC Kulgam by 29-27. In the second set GDC Bijbehara won the set by 25-23. Third set of the match was won by GDC Kulgam by 27-25. The fourth set was again won by Kulgam 28-26. So the Final of the said tournament was won by GDC Kulgam by 3-1 sets in a nail biting fight. A total of 18 colleges of the Kashmir Division participated which was kickstarted by Director Colleges Higher Education, Prof Dr. Yasmeen Ashai. Prize distribution ceremony was conducted in the College main ground where Trophies & Medals were awarded to the Winning and Runner up teams and the official of the said tournament by the worthy principal Prof. Nighat Fatima along with Prof. Ab. Salam Dar, Prof Farooq Ah Rather and other staff members. Principal of the Institution highlighted the importance of sports in day today life. She congratulated the winning team for lifting the title. Mr Mohd Abdullah Dar, PTI of this Institution thanked all the participating teams and also thanked teaching, non-teaching and local fund staff & the students of the Institution and officials of Youth Services & Sports Department and Zonal Sports Officer Bijbehara for their full cooperation in organising such a grand event.
