A One day Seminar on Women Empowerment and Gender Sensitisation was organised by Girls Welfare Committee in collaboration with Women Empowerment and Gender Sensitization Cell of Govt.Degree College Bijbehara in College Auditorium on 9th of March 2020 in connection with International Women's Day. The issue was discussed at length by all the Student participants and the faculty members. The inaugural speech was given by the Worthy Principal of the College, Prof.Nighat Fatima. She highlighted the issue of Women Empowerment in past and present scenario. On this occasion Prof.Basharat Hussain (Dept.of Economics)also presented his precious views on the said topic.The seminar was followed by a penal discussion in the smart class room wherein the staff discussed the issues related to women in an interactive session. The programme was coordinated by Prof.Ruqayah Shakeel (Dept.of Urdu)and Prof.Muzamil Jan (Dept.of Economics).
